Are you a tennis player suffering with Elbow pain? According to the Cleveland clinic, anywhere from 10-50% of tennis players will suffer from tennis elbow in their career. Tennis elbow if left untreated can develop into a larger problem that
I have enjoyed the benefits of chiropractic care for more than 20 years and strongly believe in it. Being a runner for 40 years, I know how important it is for my body to be as healthy as possible. Since coming to Dr. Ashli Linkhorn in Sept. of 2008, she has helped me take it up a notch. For many years I have experienced knee pain when running and thought I just had to live with it. I have been pleasantly surprised that Dr. Linkhorn could change that!
Dr. Linkhorn has the knowledge and insight needed to work well athletes and is in tune with their needs. She has used adjustments and exercises to help strengthen my body so it is working at its best. She has used deep tissue therapy on my legs to address the knee pain I have been experiencing. And all of these have worked! For the first time in many years, I am now training and racing completely pain free. Many thanks to Dr. Linkhorn!
My name is Emily, I am a 16 years old competitive dancer. I suffer from stiff back pain after long practices and competition and severe sinus problems. The morning of one of my competitions, I woke up dizzy and unable to breath due to sinus congestion.
I came immediately to see if Dr. Ashli Linkhorn could help. I got soft tissue work on my sinus cavities, neck, and chest; Dr. Linkhorn adjusted my spine. That night, not only was I able to compete, I felt 100% better, and I danced like I never had before.
Being a three sport athlete, there are many occasions where injuries occur. Mid Track and Field season, I pulled my quad muscle in the midst of competition. After receiving one week of treatments and completing my prescribed exercise regimen, I was back on the track where I won the Region in High Jump.
This past Football season, I experienced a hip flexor injury which robbed me of some of my speed. I immediately returned to Dr. Ashli Linkhorn’s office where I received expert advice and deep tissue work from her exceptional Licensed Massage Therapist. I finished my JV football season with a team high of four receiving touchdowns. Whenever I experience an injury, Sports Chiropractic Institute is my first stop. Dr. Linkhorn and her wonderful staff get me back into competition swiftly.
Before coming to see Dr. Ashli Linkhorn and the wonderfull members of Sports Chiropractic Institute, I had already been seen by two podiatrists, an orthopedic surgeon and another chiropractor. About two months prior I had been playing on a slackline which is kind of like a tightrope, and had fallen off rather ungracefully. The initial diagnosis by others was Turf Toe, then it was three weeks of crutches, then a cortisone shot and a walking boot…all of awhile, I wasn’t getting better.
For months I saw numerous doctors, then I was referred to Dr. Linkhorn. After about a half hour of talking with her and her associates they came to the conclusion that the problem was in my calf. Although I was skeptical, I went home and spent the rest of the evening following her protocol. Lo and behold, the same night, I was walking around barefoot! I actually have hope again that my foot is getting better, each day it feels more normal. There are no words for the gratitude I feel towards the people at Sports Chiropractic Institute for finally helping me get my life back.”
Several knee injuries during my collegiate basketball career lead to limited activity in my daily life due to joint pain and swelling. Through many typed to treatment plans, ranging form chiropractic adjustments combined with deep tissue massage & functional movement therapy, SCI has helped me to become active again. –M.S.
SCI helped me prepare for races; recover quickly, and when injuries occurred (because that is inevitable in ultra running), they facilitated me getting back to pre-injury strength quickly. They care about every patient. They serve in the local community. They really care! –N.C.
I consulted 3 other chiropractors, with no better results. I had to discontinue training for sprint triathlons and actually had trouble walking any distance. I came to SCI and was encouraged within the first 20 min of the examination when they said they could help. The treatment was effective and within 4 weeks I was training again & with more intensity than ever. In December, I competed in an Olympic distance triathlon and finished 2nd in my division. –R.R.
Dr. Linkhorn and the team at the Sports Chiropractic Institute have been working alongside me as I pursue my dream of becoming a professional ballet dancer. Throughout my intense training, competitions, and auditions, Sports Chiropractic Institute has kept me dancing, and requiring me to take minimal time off for injuries.
Recently I had surgery to remove a bone fragment and the surrounding fluid that had built up in my ankle. Despite the intense pain, Dr. Linkhorn and the team at the Sports Chiropractic Institute helped make it possible for me to train for two years with minimal pain until I was ready to have surgery. After the surgery, the Sports Chiropractic Institute has been by my side every step of the way as I make my recovery, helping me to come back stronger and better than ever!
